on the road ahead of us, but together, we will make
it to Day 80, arriving as different people from
those who began the project.
This year, there are two different types of

Around the
World in Eighty Days:
Traditional |
Around the World in Eighty
Days:
Wax museum |
|
The
traditional Around the World in Eighty Days requires
students to write a research paper on the culture of
a country, complete a 15 hour project on that
culture, and present to classmates in a formal
speech.
The
teachers doing the Traditional version are: Ms.
Schaefer, Ms. Maier, and Ms. Bennett
|
The Wax Museum version of the project was designed
by the Seminar teacher, Mrs. Coates for English II
Seminar students. In this project, students
research a contemporary issue which may impact
world events. This research paper is basis of the
students final exam powerpoint presentation. They
also choose a character from World Literature, and
become that character for their performance on Day
80. Students must have a costume and a prop and
memorize their speech.
Mrs.Coates is the teacher doing the Wax Museum
project with her seminar students.
